Big Needle - Karma

[	What is Karma?	]	The total effect of a person's actions and conduct during the successive phases of their Big Needle membership.

Your karma is:	Anonymous Quacks have no karma.
Karma is Increased:	For Authors: - by one for the first authored and accepted question. - by one for each 25th authored and accepted question. For Editors: - by one for the first question he/she edits. - by one for each 50th question he/she edits.
Karma is Decreased:	- by 5 for submitting questions with foul language. - by 3 for submitting plagiarized content. - by one for having a question that you authored declined.
Karma is awarded anonymously.	All editing is done with the editors blinded to the identity of the author. Karma points are awarded automatically based on the rules noted above.
Why access denied??	If your karma reaches -10 you are not allowed to author or edit questions for 6 months. You have experienced the repercussions of bad karma.
How to regain access.	After 6 months, your karma will be reset from -10 to -5. You will then be allowed to author questions. Editing privileges, unfortunately, are gone forever. At least until your next life.
Benefits of good karma.	When you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness. So you got that goin' for you, which is nice. For the materially inclined, in time, we will reward those with good karma with discounts and free things. Plus if your karma is high, people will like you more.
