I registered but can't login the first time. Why?

Maybe an incorrect email address. Maybe our confirm notice was eaten by your spam killer. No problemo.
Email us your name and your registration email address and we'll resend the confirmation email.
Then just click on the link in the email to activate your account.

Forget your password?
|
Go to our Username and Password Problems page. You will be asked
your birthday, country and your Big Needle ID. You will then be asked the secret question
and answer that you entered during registration. Finally you will be able to enter a new
password. We have no way of finding out what your old password was because it is an
encrypted hash. Therefore, we never know what password you are using on your account.

Go to our Username and Password Problems page. You will be asked
your birthday, country and the email address you entered when registering for Big Needle.
We will then email your Big Needle to that email address.

How do I make it so that I don't have to login every time?

Go to the detailed login page and check the box that says "Remember me on this private computer."

Why should I have Big Needle "Remember me on this private computer"?
|
Only do this on a private computer. After checking the "Remember me on this private computer"
check box and logging in, Big Needle will remember you. You will not have to log in the
next time you use Big Needle. We do this by storing a cookie on
your private computer. Our cookie is a small text file that contains a small amount of
encrypted text for your username and password that allows our server to recognize you. It has no way of knowing or
reading anything else going on in your computer.

How do I become a Big Needle member?

Physicians and medical students may register to become a Big Needle member.
|
Why do I have to login again if I checked "remember me on this computer"?
|
To improve your security we have arranged it so that the entry of personal information or
any questions or comments in your name requires you to re-login once for every session. A
session lasts until you quit your browser or for one hour of inactivity of your browser at
Big Needle. Therefore, you can play any games, view any profiles, do searches...but as soon
as you want to enter any new data under your name a login is required for that session.
